Señor Jesús Urtasun Scholarship Fund
This scholarship fund was established to honor former faculty member Señor Jesús “Joe” Urtasun, who passed November 8, 2020.
Señor Urtasun taught Spanish and other languages to students at Holy Cross for decades, and was a mentor and friend to hundreds of Lancers who have kept in touch with him long after graduation.
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

A message from Señor Urtasun's daughter, Maite Urtasun Hopkins - Holy Cross Class of 1995:
"Holy Cross was not only where my father worked, it was an extension of our home and family. He taught and cared for the students and those students in turn became an integral part of our family. My father was proud of the school and what the students were able to achieve after they left the school. Our hope is that more students will be given the opportunity to learn, grow and form bonds that stay with them for the rest of their lives."
