Holy Cross Preparatory Academy (HCPA) is excited to announce a gift of nearly $1.2 Million from the Estate of Edward J. Kolwicz. Mr. Kolwicz was a lifelong proponent of Catholic education, and long-time parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Bordentown.

This bequest, along with the anonymous donation given in November of 2023, are the first seven-figure gifts in HCPA history. These wonderful instances of  generosity will provide ongoing educational opportunities so important to Holy Cross Prep's mission and ongoing evolution, and will profoundly impact the continued upward trajectory of the institution.

 

The HCPA Board of Trustees issued a statement, saying, "The magnitude of this gift serves as a tribute to the enduring influence of the Holy Cross community on countless lives throughout our remarkable history. We are profoundly thankful for this transformative contribution bestowed upon us by Edward J Kolwicz. The entire Holy Cross Preparatory Community is truly grateful for his generosity."

Alex Pracher, President of Holy Cross Preparatory Academy, expressed his gratitude, saying, "Estate gifts are special in their focus on leaving a legacy that outlasts the individual. This donation will ensure that Mr. Kolwicz' impact on Catholic education is felt for decades to come."
